Noeleen Frain, former recipient of the Taylor Art Award, is an Irish artist and calligrapher with a lifetime of experience working across a wide variety of media and disciplines. Her painting commissions in oils, pastels, watercolour and pen-and-ink include subjects as diverse as botanical illustrations, family portraits and pets, to famous horse-racing victories. Her calligraphy encompasses work in both the traditional hands as well as more contemporary styles.

Noeleen, is also a committed teacher of art, including art history and calligraphy. She is an active member of the Irish Society of Botanical Artists (ISBA) and Peannairí, the association of Irish calligraphers.
